‘FAIR PROSPECT’ ATLANTIC 42 FOR SALE
Reluctantly for sale, Fair Prospect is an outstanding, superbly equipped example of the renowned aft-deck, Atlantic 42, built by Searanger in the UK for leading Dutch manufacturer, Holland Boat.
Built and commissioned in 2001, she was delivered to her first owner, a German engineering professor, and kept in the Baltic until sold to her present owner in June 2006.
Fair Prospect is powered by twin 370hp Volvo Penta TAMD63P diesel engines, giving a comfortable cruising speed of 14-18kts and top speed of 25kts.

MAIN DECK
Spacious aft-deck with helm set to starboard. Large navigation station, instrument panel and chart area featuring:

Ample seating for three on the forward-facing side of the sliding helm seat and three on the aft-facing side. Cavernous storage space below. All-over PVC covers for the helm seat and the helm/instrument panel. Removable canvas over helm position and separately removable side-covers. The entire aft-deck can be fully enclosed with a separate canopy.
Additional seating for five/six on the transom bench-seat with full beam, self-draining storage compartments below. Removable, white vinyl cushions and back rests for bench seating and handrail bolsters. Solid GRP dodgers with transom gate to port. Four steps down to teak laid bathing platform equipped with hot and cold pressurised water shower handset; stainless steel liferaft cradle mounted on transom (liferaft available by separate arrangement); davit mounting points.
Reassuringly wide, teak-laid side-decks; one-step down leading to forward deck with integrated S/S holders for six large fenders. Solid, 1” S/S guardrails all round including solid, S/S intermediate rail. Hinged gate/boarding ladder on each side-deck for easy access to pontoon. 20kg Bruce anchor on S/S bow roller (with S/S bow protection plate); Lewmar electric windlass operated by foot switches and separate switch at helm. 50 metres 10mm chain in self-draining port side locker with separate, large self-draining locker to starboard that can easily accommodate (for example) rolled up inflatable tender, mooring lines etc.

SALOON

AFT CABIN
Large island berth with access below to stern thrusters; large, square window/escape hatch to bathing platform with high level lockers above. Numerous drawers and lockers to starboard with full-height hanging locker and access to manual pump station. Controls for aft-cabin/cockpit Eberspacher DL5 diesel heater with outlets to cabin, toilet and helm. Access below berth to steering gear, stern thrusters and associated battery bank. Separate toilet to port with Tecma electric, quiet flush, freshwater flush toilet discharging to holding tank or directly overboard. Ceramic handbasin with mirror-fronted lockers above. Separate shower-room with extractor fan and large locker. Access to seacocks for toilet discharge and holding tank discharge, log and echosounder, freshwater pump, freshwater filter, grey water tank and pump. Access under steps to aft of engine compartment and engine raw-water intake seacocks, raw-water filters and Separ fuel pre-filters.
DINETTE/GALLEY
Three steps down from saloon to dinette/galley area. Dinette seating for five/six on leather upholstered sofa to port; hi/lo table with infill cushion converts dinette to large single/small double berth. Controls for Eberspacher DL5 diesel heater with outlets to saloon, dinette, forward cabin and forward toilet, inverter, and Smart-gauge battery monitor. Galley to starboard equipped with 1.5 bowl sink unit, 4-ring ceramic hob and dual microwave. Plentiful lockers of varying sizes; underfloor storage locker. Freshwater tank gauge and generator control panel. Access to seacocks for toilet discharge, toilet seawater inlet, generator seawater inlet, forward holding tank discharge and forward grey water tank and pump.
